Paying for a booking
One supplier, one invoice, VAT shown properly.
Your contract is with us rather than with the people who own the properties, so there is one company to pay however many houses or flats a booking takes. You never pay an owner directly, and no owner should ever ask you to.

How the money is set out

Ways to pay
By card. Confirming takes you to a secure checkout. Card payments can carry a processing fee, and where one applies the checkout shows you the fee and the revised total before you authorise anything, so the figure you approve is the figure that leaves the account. Nothing is taken until you press the button on that page.
By bank transfer. Our bank details are on the invoice, together with the instruction to use the invoice number as the reference. A transfer carries no processing fee. On a larger booking this is usually the method finance teams prefer, and on some bookings it is the method we ask for.
On account. If we have agreed a credit account with you, nothing is payable at the point you confirm. The booking goes to your account manager to complete and we invoice on the terms set out in your credit agreement. See Credit accounts.
The methods available on a particular booking are shown with your invoice. If the one you need is not there, ring your account manager rather than working around it.
What actually confirms a booking
On a booking you are paying for, the thing that confirms it is your payment reaching us. Accepting the quote creates the booking and holds the properties, but until the money arrives the booking is not confirmed and the address is not released. If your finance process means a few days between approving a cost and paying it, tell your account manager at the point you accept so we know to hold the properties rather than wondering.
On an account booking there is no payment event, so your account manager completes it instead. The booking is confirmed when they do, and the invoice follows on your agreed terms rather than coming first.
Nobody at a property should ever ask you for money. Not a deposit, not a cleaning charge, not a key fee, not identification documents in exchange for access. Everything you owe for a stay is on an invoice from us, and anything a property owner asks you for on top of that is not something we have agreed. If it happens, tell us the same day and do not pay it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Give it to your account manager before the invoice is raised and it goes on the document. If your procurement process means the PO comes after the booking, say so early and we will work around the sequence rather than being held up by it.
Question about an invoice?
Your account manager can answer most of it directly, and they would rather fix it before your finance team sees it.
